Cristina Duarte is an actor, teacher, comedian and stage director. Born in Portugal, but raised in New Jersey, Cristina spent her adult years training and working as an actor in New York City. She is an alumnus and former teacher of acting at the Stella Adler Studio and received her MA in Theatre from Hunter College where she later taught acting and also directed. As an actor she is best known for her reoccurring roles on the daytime dramas; she has also appeared in several independent and commercial films. As a comedian she has performed on the NY comedy club circuit including: Caroline's, The Comic Strip, Gotham and Stand-Up NY. Cristina is a professor of acting at the Santa Fe University of Art and Design where she directs productions at the Greer Garson Theatre. She continues to work as a SAG actor in New Mexico.
