Mark Wijsman was born in 1985 in The Hague, The Netherlands. At the age of six he started acting at the Rabarber Youth Theater school in the Netherlands. At nine years old, he featured in National Theater's Production of 'Kleine Zielen', by Couperus, touring the Netherlands for the season. As a child, he played the lead in Dutch Film Festival selected 'De Angst van Zorg', by acclaimed Dutch director Maria Peters and had a supporting role in RTL produced television series 'U Beslist'. At age 14, he starred alongside two-time Academy Award winner Peter Ustinov in his first English spoken theater production, called Peace Child, for the United Nations' Peace Conference. After some time focused on academics and getting a Communications Degree in Amsterdam, he returned to acting in Cape Town, South Africa in 2014. Since then, he has starred in several features, including a double lead in SAE Institute's short 'King of the Nights', a lead in 2015's 48 Hour Short submission 'Frog Hair' and supporting roles in Peter Medak's 'The Dating Game Killer', Ibtisem Ben-Nassib's 'Yellow' and Michael Bundred's 'Getaway'. In addition, he has featured in a large variety of international commercials, and has done voice work for Starz-produced Black Sails, and popular Bollywood series Afsar Bitiya and Dulhaan.
