Charles Wiedman is an actor and director, known for The Sinner (2012), USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage (2016), and Queen of the South (2016). He was born in Los Angeles but grew up in central Texas. He has been married to Katherine Willis since May, 2009. They have one child. After graduating from high school in San Marcos, TX. where he won several awards for acting, Charles attended college at SWT to follow a degree in commercial art where his cartoons were published weekly in the college newspaper. From there he worked his way up through various advertising agencies in Austin, TX. as a graphic designer while competing as an amateur body builder. He moved to San Francisco in 1996 to write for stage and screen. Charles is also known for his award-winning card game "Lunch Money" published and distributed world-wide through Atlas Games in 1996. In 1997, he returned to Los Angeles where he worked in film production, designed and built custom furniture for celebrity clients and studied acting with many notable acting teachers including Clayton Rohner, Geno Havens and Sal Dano. In 2001, Charles wrote, produced and starred in the stage play: "Balls in a Jar" which ran for 12 weeks at the Gardner stages in Hollywood. Charles returned to Austin, TX in 2003 and founded RuffHouse Studios - producing and directing a string of short films, commercials and ultimately "The Sinner". In 2015, Charles was approached by long time friend and producer Timothy P. Cavanaugh to appear in the USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage. This project brought Charles back to his love of acting after a 12 year layoff. Since then he has appeared in a number of television shows and films while based in Austin, Texas with his family.
