Morwyn Brebner

Morwyn Brebner is a Toronto based screenwriter and award winning playwright.Brebner co-created Saving Hope, currently in Season 5 on CTV and ION, in which she was an Executive Producer and Showrunner for the first three seasons. She also co-created the ABC and Global Television drama series Rookie Blue, which ran for 6 seasons.Recently, Morwyn worked as Co-Executive Producer and Writer for CBC's upcoming television series thriller The Council, created by Rene Balcer. She is currently working as Executive Producer and Writer on the CBC's new drama series Bellevue, starring Academy and Golden-Globe award-winning actress Anna Paquin.Her feature, Hey 45, is slated for production in 2017Brebner was a longtime playwright-in-residence at Tarragon, where many of her plays premiered. Her plays have been produced throughout Canada and by Storm Theater Company in New York. Morwyn is a graduate of the National Theater School of Canada. Show less «
