Completing the suspense and excitement where the first season stops that follows the life in Chester's Mill, Maine, USA, where the inhabitants struggle against the mysterious force that dominate their town and cuts it off the world, so they have to depend on themselves, in order to understand what happened and how to free themselves. In this new season, Jim struggles against saving the crops of the town.
Ultimately, the premiere -- while moving along briskly enough -- doesn't add much of anything to the audience's understanding of the show's fundamental mystery.
Under the Dome is definitely going for a new "no one is safe" vibe. Though it would help of any of the characters who were no longer safe were characters I actually care about.
The way certain skeptics feel about climate change is the way I feel about the dome -- and everything under it. I just don't buy Under the Dome on any level. I think the story is a shambles and the concept is dumb.
Fans of Dome, and there are many, have never expected the acting to reach award-level, largely because of the dialogue, and hey, a lot of times it's more entertaining that way.
