The life of a young teenager beautiful girl named Schmidt, who after spending 15 years in Indian kidnapped by a cult leader named Richard Wayne, has been changed completely, as she manages to escape from him and travels to New York City, where she struggles against winning her livings in a new town.
In case you couldn't tell, this is a comedy. And it's a good one, warm and charming, genuinely funny, and also odd enough to come from Tina Fey and writing partner Robert Carlock, late of 30 Rock.
There never was any doubt that Ellie Kemper could anchor her own comedy series. She's all lightness, charm, vitality and teeth -- big bright ones that have a character all their own.
