The fifth season begins with a new set of different and powerful events, with the fifth season completing the series quite differently. The season begins as the Strike team takes the next step with regard to the IAD investigation in Lim City. They put Tina in disguise to help control the sex trafficking. On the other hand, as Lim prepares to plead guilty to heroin, Vic agrees with Anton Mitchell to ensure Lehmann's safety in prison.
With writing and acting this outstanding, it wouldn't be wrong to hope that Vic slithers out of trouble again to give us more of The Shield's gripping, morally complex drama.
If this isn't the last season for The Shield, I fear that the Wile E. Coyote-Road Runner routine that pits Aceveda (Benito Martinez) and Kava-naugh against Mackey will start to grow stale.
