The series is about victims of stalking and the detectives of the LAPD's Threat Assessment Unit who investigate the crimes. Together they try to stop situations from spinning out of control, and to keep their personal obsessions at bay.
The show comes from Kevin Williamson, who created the more equal-opportunity torture porn The Following, which at least has a literary sheen and some effective scares. Here there are just tropes.
Even if it's possible to get past the ugliness of the violence against women in the pilot, it's hard to imagine that a procedural with such a tight focus won't get old fast.
