Ichabod Crane awakes from the throes of death 250 years in the future where he must solve a mystery dating back to the founding fathers. Due to a blood spell cast on a battlefield during the Revolution, the infamous headless horseman is revived along with Crane, and the murderous rider embarks on a bloody rampage in present-day Sleepy Hollow. Detective Abbie Mills, a woman familiar with supernatural experiences, forms a bond with Crane as they try to stop an increasingly vicious cycle of evil.
I don't know if the pace and number of ideas is sustainable, or if the Headless Horseman shredding a police car with small arms fire is as nutty as the show can ever go, but I'm at least curious to see what comes next.
There are four basic ingredients to its secret formula: a giddy sense of adventure, a sly sense of humor, a slick sense of style and loads of heart. Those are the four horsemen driving Sleepy Hollow to success.
