As with previous iterations of "Explained" you won't leave this series as an expert, per se, on any one topic, but it's certainly an entertaining and informative start to some more adult-oriented sex education.
The easily digestible, approximately 20-minute episodes, bursting with colorful animations and engaging interviews, cover basic information about subjects like fertility, birth control, and attraction.
Sex, Explained isn't going to give you encyclopedic knowledge of sex and attraction, but it's entertaining enough and informative enough to watch when you can't think of something scripted to turn on.
Will this show become a rite of passage of sexually curious teens as they begin to test those unsteady waters? Who knows? But it can't hurt. Unless we don't let them watch it.
