The fifth season offers a variety of dramatic dramas, with Divya and Jeremiah going to Savannah for a new mission to assess the hospital. Hank, on the other hand, is horrifyingly discovering the death of Boris, who is completely changing things. Meanwhile, Ivan planned to cancel the Hankmeid stop because everything looks bad.
Not only does the chemistry between the show's leads sizzle like pepper-grilled filet mignon, but the extended family and guest stars all seem to blend seamlessly into the show's breezy drama.
Get past the languor and absence of urgency of any kind and you quickly realize what Royal Pains is all about -- TV's version of a nice easy beach read.
