Season 2 opens with Dr. Blair, who mentored Jill, trying to have her fired. A son tries to break free from his inventor father but his way of doing things turns out to be dangerous. Meanwhile, Hank and Evan come face-to-face with their father, Eddie, for the first time in years.
The first season of "Royal Pains" boasted the title of "the best performing freshman year of a cable series ever." It's easy to see why and it feels, halfway through season two, that the show is still building momentum.
