This story tells about a plane crash in the Amazon. After that incident, the Powells family found themselves equipped with supernatural powers. In those free moments, the husband has tremendous power and the wife can travel at amazing speed while their child is in a different position.
Perhaps they will find a way to make future episodes more entertaining with a less world-weary tone. But after the pilot, some viewers may be hard-pressed to give this less-than-super Family another chance.
Though No Ordinary Family bears many hallmarks of an interesting failure, it falls slightly short of the distinction on account of its resistance to being consistently interesting.
