Season 6 presents a new series of powerful events that look quite different. When a realtor is shot and killed while viewing a couple's house, Monk and Natalie doubt that the killer is the victim's partner - who is likely to be Stutlmir's friend Linda Fusko. On the other hand, the monk on the trail of a man appears to have committed a complete crime when he killed his wife and his income, and Natalie worried that Julie's new relationship was progressing very quickly.
What keeps the show going is Tony Shalhoub, whose performance as the personally flawed but professionally brilliant Adrian Monk is so endlessly amusing.
The return of Monk is always one of the highlights of summer, and this season's opener... is particularly entertaining thanks to a good guest-star turn by Sarah Silverman.
Shalhoub's excellent portrayal of the character allows us to appreciate the humor in Monk's personality disorder, while at the same time, also see Adrian Monk as a good man with a brilliant knack for crime investigation.
