In the seventh season, there is a clear difference in conflict resolution skills in Mike's book, which causes a dispute between Chuck and Joe. Mike and Vanessa wait for Eve to come home from the Air Force Academy, Christine proposes a new business, while Mandy gives Kyle new arrangements to go to his job at the company.
Though "Last Man Standing" remains hopelessly mediocre, it's worth taking a moment to put yourself in someone else's recliner and imagine that every show on TV runs counter to your perception of the world.
Last Man Standing has chosen to make a swerve toward vulnerability and self-knowledge... It makes me hope the series has the potential to be more dynamic and thoughtful than I'd given it credit for.
Amusing, with tongue planted just firmly enough in its cheek to take the edge off, Last Man Standing nevertheless proudly and loudly remains TV's rare (if not only) Red State sitcom.
