In this film, Jeff seems to be the most average man in the world. However, only his roommates are not ordinary people. There are three foreigners who live with Jeff, who are very unusual people. These foreigners were sent to evaluate the entire human race as they learned from Jeff during the previous period.
This pleasantly absurd animated series doesn't rise to the comic heights of an Archer or a Bob's Burgers, but its skewering of sitcom cliches is pretty fun.
The three episodes I've seen are well plotted and performed. The animation straightens and smartens the look of the TripTank original without sacrificing its baseline crudeness or its crudity - that's a good thing.
Jeff & Some Aliens is a refreshing adrenaline rush of an animated series that looks at an ordinary man being pushed to extraordinary limits in some of the most hilarious methods imaginable.
