The client is a teenage girl called Patty who wants to enter the world of beauty pageants only to take revenge from those people who tortured her and she wants Bob's help.
I could dissect the finer horrors of "Insatiable" for longer than its interminable episodes (among other things, it traffics in racial stereotypes, flirts with homophobia and transphobia and is just genuinely bad and boring TV).
The controversial Netflix series is finally available and although its detractors were wrong in their criticism, the poor results of this comedy leave it a little helpless in the face of criticism. [Full review in Spanish]
While Insatiable would like you to excuse its considerable meanness as satire or even good-doing, the truth is that it's often tooth-tinglingly saccharine.
The lack of care this series has for its characters is topped only by the lack of respect it has for its viewers; its veneer of edginess almost as thoughtless as its later attempts at playing 'woke.'
