Upon receiving an offer from a stranger, who asks her to work with him in Alabama, a young beautiful and smart doctor named Zoe Heart, who seeks to begin her professional work, accepts the offer and travels to Alabama, where she finds out that the man has been died, the thing that makes her struggle in a strange city.
So we've got a medical drama, a small-town soap opera, a romantic comedy with two attractive and capable leads, plus bits and pieces of all those Reese Witherspoon movies. There just might be enough here to fly.
Perhaps with more attention to concrete character details and less reliance on silly stereotypes, Hart of Dixie will manage to grow into a show that does not provoke multiple fits of eye rolling
Fans don't tune in for the acting, they tune in for the story, the characters and the romance. And in that, Hart of Dixie is right in The CW's wheelhouse.
