In a wide range of difficult events that continue in a wonderful fourth season. The events begin with a blizzard that finally hits the CRU and the gang returns to Doppler. Ashley begins to question her relationship with Simon. Franny returns with a promise she can not fulfill. But in the end, fighting KTs to save their home from demolition, sacrificed a lot in his life to reach his goal.
It's a cool breeze of a show, but I've always felt the writers have a strong feel for the characters. There's no sense of "last season" urgency (yet), but there is clear direction. I trust the payoffs will be worth my investment as season four unfolds.
I still like Greek, but I've reached a point where I'd love to see them both grow up a little bit. The series has always been about the idea that college is a time for transition and transformation, but any and all changes have been baby-steps changes.
I do think that the insular nature of this year is going to make it a tough sell to those who are skeptical of the series' quality, but that's the price you pay when you opt to (justifiably) pay homage to your own show as a last goodbye.
Other college shows like Hellcats haven't quite managed to strike the same balance between fun, romance, and realism that Greek did. It'll definitely be missed.
