The Grandfathered series narrated in details the life of bachelor, Jimmy Martino, who learns late that Gerlad is his son and his son has a daughter, Eid. So, this season begins with amazement of a 50-year old restaurant owner, when he knows that he has a son and a granddaughter after 25 years of his relationship with Sara.
There's not a lot of shelf life in the premise, so any enjoyment is likely to come from how excited you are to watch Stamos, Peck, and Paget Brewster hang out together.
With Daniel Chun (The Office, Hello Ladies and Happy Endings) penning a quick-witted script, Grandfathered subverts every hokey cliche that it nearly crashes into by maintaining a savvy self-awareness.
