Game Of Thrones - Season 8, Episode 06: The Iron Throne
A new and the final epic of the legendary series Game of Thrones in its' final season, the eighth. The new season begins with everyone seeking for his own goals, Cersei Lannister still seeks for controlling the world and kill all other families who threats the throne. Daenerys helps Jon against the dead army in an attempt to get his loyalty and get the throne after that. Among all of that, Jon still doesn't know thing about his reality and his right in the Iron Throne, the thing that may crash his alliance with Daenerys. Sansa keeps Winterfell safe with the help of the hungry-for-revenge her sister Arya.
Between the two great clashes of men, women, the Dead, beasts and swords that made up the viewership record busting "The Long Night" and "The Bells" episodes and the dialogue rich remainder, tonight's finale pulled the bow with precision.
Had Weiss and Benioff brought the show to a more satisfying conclusion, Martin would have had little incentive to finish the series. It's safe to say that fans are not satisfied, and Martin has a chance to tell the story he intended. So ... how 'bout it?
Game of Thrones has lulled us into believing that its women would end up in charge. In the end, it's only Sansa, by sheer force of will, who wears a lesser crown. The wheel hasn't broken; the patriarchy is still alive and well in Westeros.
Because the Game of Thrones finale is really a bunch of different endings rolled into one. All the outcomes combined add up to a finale that's sort of ... bittersweet, just as author George R.R. Martin has been saying all these years.
