The self-satisfied sneering of these smarmy privileged putzes in their private jets, luxury cars and mansions is pretty much the opposite of a turn-on. We're not talking class envy here. More like crass exhaustion.
This new Dynasty can never go as far as a full reimagining of the wealth soap like Empire, but the gestures it does make toward adjusting often feel awkward and out of place.
