In the animation series, he faces a kind-hearted farmer who dreams of dressage in his life. Now, this farmer moves to a square in the royal castle, but things seem complicated after the move of this farmer, as he feels that his dream job is not all that he had always hoped for.
"Swords" is occasionally funny but more often settles for outrageous, which may work to a degree the first time, but grows tiresome and dull in repetition.
Crossing Swords is more like the adult-oriented version of Playmobil: The Movie, trying to recreate a successful formula without understanding what made it work.
A smarter show would burrow into the disillusionment as a rookie squire learns his dream is rotten on the inside, but there's simply no time, what with all the circumcision gags that need to be made.
