The ninth season presents Dr Turner, Shelagh, Mother Mildred, Trixie, Sister Julienne, Valerie, Lucille and Fred. They have been struck down by flu and there is the idea of convalescing in the fresh Scottish air in this time. Overtime, they set about establishing an antenatal clinic, which will be a treat for the local population.
