In a new exciting season for all, we complete the series with a new set of exciting and action events: It seems that Oliver is forced to ally with an old enemy. In prison, after Oliver surrendered, he will face many challenges and positions, and this may be the biggest challenge, while Felicity will get a very exciting show, and Digley asks Curtis to hide away from Argos. On the other hand, Felicity is trying to find Diaz by any means.

We haven't spent enough time in the future, so we weren't emotionally invested enough for this episode to hit as powerfully as it could. Still, it was a fun one, and I hope it's a hint of things to come.
Overall, this was a perfectly fine episode of the show. I'm still not sure what the point of the flash-forwards is, but throwing Felicity into the mix definitely helped elevate them.
Arrow Season 7 Episode 16 was set almost entirely in the future, and in a matter of 40 minutes, the hour delivered a lot of answers without feeling heavy with exposition.
After years of mediocre flashbacks, it's so weird to have an episode separate from the main story that packs such a punch. "Star City 2040" does exactly what it says on the package.
This is a story burdened by too many superfluous characters and an antagonist that recycles the usual tropes. But when the focus narrows to the Queen/Smoak family and their collective emotional trauma, this storyline shows its true potential.
'Star City Slayer' successfully utilised a self-contained plot to delve into some of the season's deeper stories while laying the groundwork for its future ones. Though not perfect, it was a solid attempt at tying everything together.
With the endgame in sight next season, Arrow is taking some interesting turns to try and give fans a peek at how this world will look once the series officially wraps up. Few have been as revealing as this week's episode.
"Star City 2040" doesn't pull it all off. The fact that it manages to successfully accomplish any of those things in such a stuffed hour is impressive.
