American Princess may very well be the next great summer comedy, which is no surprise given characters called "Pickle Wench" and "Meth Pushcart Monkey."
American Princess is one of those television series that is everything you hadn't expected going into it: fun, smart, and gives its characters depth that lifts it towards being one of the most memorable comedies to come along this year.
The gross-out comedy is a particularly poor brand fit for Lifetime - whose recent stabs at savvy, urbane satirical dramas, "Unreal" and "You," both made more sense on their air and felt, from the beginning, far more fully formed.
