Completing the adventures and struggles of the Alphas, a group of people with superpowers, who investigate on the cases involved supernatural humans. In this new season, the team manages to save the daughter of Dr. Rosen from a horrible assassin.
Competent and enjoyable when it comes to action and pacing, but this show will rise and fall on the continuation of the character development begun in Season 1, and the jury's still out on that front.
The guy who always helps bring this series back around, though, is David Strathairn. His performance as Rosen is always great, and he's always there to tether this show and give it a solid voice.
Yes, it's basically the story that every X-Men arc or film explores, but it's a good story, and there's plenty of room for unexplored territory that Alphas can mine.
This premiere had no shortage of high intensity Alpha abilities, action, and conflict. It continued the overall conspiracy from season one, but the stakes seemed much higher this time.
