The series takes after Owen Strand, a firefighter from New York who lives with his son and they seem to have a quiet life. Things may change when they have to move to Texas. Their personal troubles increase, in addition to deal with these troubles, Owen has to save people from fires.
No one can be painted with broad strokes, and to anyone accusing the show of trying to be woke, 9-1-1: Lone Star is enthusiastically nodding and smiling that yes, that is exactly what's happening.
