The movie follows the life of Chinese legendary martial arts hero Wong Fei-Hung, as he battles outsiders, falls in love, and creates witty statements. Jet Li Once Upon A Time In China also provides us with an inside glimpse of how Western civilization influenced and affected Asian culture.
In terms of aesthetics, this is the best looking of the first three Once Upon a Time in China films.
