It's Hogmanay in Glasgow and Eric and Beth are hoping soldier son Angus will be back from Iraq in time. Their other son Ian turns up to the party with boy-friend Tony as do Beth's over-the-top sister Caroline and boastful couple Cathy and Colin, who are moving up in the world.
