This films is an intense thriller that takes the viewer on an unexpected rollercoaster of twists and turns. A suicidal man hires a demented killer to assist him in suicide, but for some reason, miraculously survives each attempt on his life. After Percival continues to miraculously survive each attempt on his life, Steven starts to believe. He tries to help Percival figure out ways to break the curse.
"Suicide Theory" does boast a couple of intriguingly complex characters, however, and some interesting points on how little satisfaction is derived from retribution, especially when what goes around reliably comes around.
The final Act O'Twists, which almost anyone will see coming from very far away, lets down the character work that preceded it and the whole piece sinks just a bit too far into the melodramatic muck ...
the Australian neo-noir thriller The Suicide Theory is a smartly written and satisfying take on the hitman genre featuring a standout performance from Steve Mouzakis.
