Falling in love with a young beautiful girl, a young handsome physician, who makes his mind to marry her, but incidents come to challenge him, when he knows that the girl he loves is a white snake demon, the thing that risks his life, but by the help of a sorcerer, he survives.
A masterpiece of imagination. Offers wall-to-wall goofy fun for fans of martial arts flicks, fantasies, or just good old-fashioned cinematic nuttiness.
The clunky action mostly revolves around uninspired wire-fu choreography: Monks fly around while flailing their arms as hordes of CGI creatures gather around and then do nothing.
The Sorcerer and the White Snake is unfortunately just another average Jet Li film to throw into the pile. Its bloated and overloaded use of mediocre special effects practically shackles the film to its humdrum atmosphere.
