The movie revolves around a lonely Parisian secretary, Dany, whose weirdo rich boss and wife ask her to stay over for a night of work, and then drive them to the airport in their Ford Thunderbird, which has a hidden body inside. Now Dany must find out about to prove she is innocent.
The Lady in the Car With Glasses and a Gun is like a movie-shaped sudoku puzzle: an irresistible time-suck that's more fun to puzzle over than it is to solve.
Director Joann Sfar (Gainsbourg) is far more interested in the hazy, overheated world through which his eponymous protagonist wanders. And when the film lets her do that, it's fun to drift along in her wake.
