Under the program of witness protection, a mafia family have been moved into a new calm town in France to be far away from terrible, but upon their arrival, they do not manage to cope with the life there, as they begin to use their criminal and old ways of solving problems, the thing that brings terrible for them.
The casting of Robert De Niro as an ex-Mafioso hiding in witness protection is witty in only the silliest, most superficial way. It's a joke with its own tinny, built-in laugh track.
