This movie revolves around, Carmilla, a vampire who is after the events of the web series turns to a mortal, living, and breathing human, and she seems to be adapted to the new life with, Laura, her girlfriend. First, she lives her life as an ordinary girl, but by the time, she has been attacked by her past and begins to haunt her friends. At the same time, Laura begins to have nightmares about the horrible past of Carmilla.
As someone who wants queer narratives to feature happy romantic relationships and be charming and have serious characterizations with meaningfully substantive development and plots, I can't help but find it disappointing.
