In a comedy atmosphere, this movie, revolves around Mr Wickers, a tough teacher, who loves his students and cares for them, who after finishing the GCSE, takes them in a trip to Amsterdam, where they enjoy their time.
Childish? Yes, of course; this is schoolboy humour run amok. Funny? Bad Education is unexpectedly hilarious ...

The comedy is broad and the hijinks mostly puerile, with far too many episodes involving threats to and exposure of Alfie's testicles. Other gags, however, are set up with impressive care.
Sadly, there's very little of any merit here, unless you're a Whitehall completist interested in seeing prosthetic recreations of his balls on multiple occasions.
A sequel may be far from a guaranteed prospect, but the pic does establish the elastic-faced Whitehall as a film-anchoring comic presence (and writer) for other, similarly lightweight vehicles.
