The film may offer a real look at this report and the kind of control it had over the government and the country, where there were more private secret events.
Critics Of "The Accidental Prime Minister [Audio: Hindi]"
Film Companion Reviews

The film tosses in news footage of real people and then cuts to their onscreen counterparts. Which of course makes this whole enterprise even less convincing.
The film is so incompetently crafted, terribly performed and transparently petty that it isn't even pathetic enough to be panned as a "propaganda" movie.
Although it tries to put on a gossipy, insider tone and create a this-is-how-it-happened feel, The Accidental Prime Minister never evolves into anything more than a broadside against the Gandhi clan.
If you take even the slightest interest in politics, book for The Accidental Prime Minister now. It is a film that takes you through an important era in Indian politics and is also entertaining.
