The movie follows a mop-haired balaclava-clad stalker named Jack who sneaks into the house of hospital nurse Emily at night armed with a bag of torture instruments to take what he wants by force, only to be tasered and wake up gagged and immobilised.
Dspite its appearance of narrative twists and turns, the film ends up very much where it started, with its provocations untested, its unpleasantness reinforced.
Whilst it doesn't stick its landing when the credits roll, Wolf Creek fans are perhaps going to get a kick out of seeing Jarratt failing to get the upper hand for a change.
