The film follows Martin in a new adventure set a few years after the events in Stake Land, in which mankind must struggle to survive in the wake of a vampire apocalypse. Roaming the wilderness of a steadily decaying country, Martin goes in search of the one man who can help him get revenge.
Berk and Olsen are fine stand-ins for Mickle, but without Damici, The Stakelander would be a tough sell. It's not a step up, more of a step-to-the-side, with great supporting performances (A.C. Peterson and Steven Williams in particular) and good action
