The film captures the story of the hero athlete Akeem Sharp. Akeem tries to realize his dream in the world of track and field by traveling to the United States and reuniting with his mother. Akeem suffers from a disturbance at home, a volatile father, and an older brother, but still resisting those challenges. Akeem seems to be able to succeed against all odds.
