The film covers the experience of Simon, a respected man who lives a peaceful life with his wife and two children. One day, Simon tries to completely change his reality as he is drawn to his wife's friend Catherine, whom her husband deceived. Soon the two are dazzled by each other and begin a new experience that can cause many problems.
The film's shifting, unsettled tone makes it less than satisfying, even while admiring some its strengths. Sex is ever present, and not always to the film's advantage
