Driving by his deep will of acquiring wealth, Ritchie, a young smart guy, who dreams of acquiring wealth, through the illegal fishing of pearl, so he goes to the Scottish highlands, where he meets a beautiful girl, with whom he falls in love, but when he knows that she is an activist for animals welfare, his life turns upside down.
With its broad, scattergun humour, lazy characterisation and inept plot and dialogue (not to mention its patronising, metropolitan view of "wild" Scotland), Scottish Mussel should have stayed firmly locked in its shell.
