Dragon Ma is a lieutenant in the 19th-century Hong Kong marines. The evil pirate clan led by Sanpao has been terrorizing local waters, with assistance from the corrupt authorities.
There is not much difference between this film and most of Chan's other early films. There are the typical amazing stunts, comical situations and super thin plot.

Considered by many to be Chan's best picture, this action-comedy-adventure successfully mixes elements of Bruce Lee and Buster Keaton.
This one has even less use for plot than Armour of God, and displays much more intricately choreographed slapstick, demonstrating that Chan sees himself as much a physical comedian as a martial arts action star.
Famous for the scene in which the acrobatic Chan, cornered by pirates, is left hanging by a clock's minute hand, this is a rumbustiously entertaining caper set in Hong Kong at the turn of the century.
