Looking like the following king Vijay, who before four days from his coronation day, has been faced an attack that aims to get rid of him, as his younger brother seeks to power, throne, and wealth, brings terrible and makes his life in danger, as Prem, an ordinary guy who is similar to the king sacrifies his life, by taking the king's place to save the throne.
If one had to pick on every nitty-gritty detail of the plot and execution of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, then the movie would fall apart within the first thirty minutes.
With its full complement of lavishly produced song-and-dance numbers, its filmi heroes and villains, and a two-hour, 40-minute runtime, "Prem" hews closely to the old-style Bollywood formula.
