In order to get the money, she works Wednesday in the profession of female pimp, a mansion acquired by her father. Wednesday tries to earn more money for a better life for her and her best friend. She lives Wednesday in a Jewish neighborhood in the Bronx, which has many adventures. Wednesday finally faces a catastrophic act when she reveals a clash with a pimp man who runs a very dangerous game and may need to confront him in order to survive in her exciting world.
The movie might leave you drained and disgusted, yet it also serves as a reminder that Palmer (whose last notable feature, "Akeelah and the Bee," was 12 years ago) is an unusually intense talent who deserves a much better vehicle than this one.
'Pimp' presents in an unfiltered way, a stirring look at the life of a female pimp, and the challenges she undergoes to get what she needs. It's a film that sticks with you.
