This documentary follows the life story of Marlon Brando, a well known actor, who records his whole life and the challenges he faces throughout his way to fame in an audio tape.
Much is hinted at, then skipped over. But Brando at least leaves us feeling there were real depths there: the angst was genuine, he took his art seriously.
Though Brando's life has been catalogued ad nauseum in countless biographies, Mr Riley's film provides a greater insight into his personality and talent for the simple reason that we hear it from the horse's mouth.
