It is intriguing, perplexing, bemusing.

This thematic hodgepodge...is a mixed bag in terms of quality, too. For every riveting, eerie scene, there's another that looks like low-budget padding.

Kötting's real skill comes in the marrying together of images with Lek's memories, pushing at ideas of desolation, anxiety and trauma that take us into emotional territory that mere words cannot."

To resist all this is like saying "Unhand me" to the Ancient Mariner.

The focus on a social outcast allows Kötting to push Lek to the furthest periphery yet, while the play's multimedia texture prefigures his employment of various visual and formal techniques that blur recollection, imagination and warped psychology.

Weird I can handle, but this is excruciating. I think I'd prefer to live with street dogs than watch it again.

Lek And The Dogs may be uneven and self-indulgent but it is also full of moments of startling lyricism and originality.

Experimental film can be a euphemism for half-baked, but there's unorthodox and compelling architecture at play here.
