There is still something strange in Nathalie's life where Natalie started working as an architect in New York and Rama is working hard and hard to get what she wants. Natalie's life is soon transformed, as things go from bad to strange when she experiences many situations in which she wakes up magically to find herself in an alternative world. Perhaps that transitional period makes her a romantic and comedian character in good circumstances.
While [Wilson] has a delightful mix of spirit and cynicism that makes her an ideal comic presence for the Internet age, I found myself wishing the film took better advantage of her gifts.
As a movie that neither outstays its welcome (the running time barely scrapes 80 minutes) nor overcooks its premise, Isn't It Romantic gets its job done with a minimum of fuss.
Comic tornado Rebel Wilson lifts up this meta-take on romantic comedies and makes it your best bet for a Valentine's date at the movies. Too bad about the sucker punch of a happy ending.
Though the movie's tropes have been written about or spoofed before in funnier films like They Came Together, this breezy take has heart and a clever resolution.
