The film follows the story of Alice, who is a young and passionate investigative reporter to any success that can be achieved. Alice suffers a real loss someday as she finds a mysterious municipality, where she begins to find her will to live and perhaps search for love.
The film twists tension in the viewer's gut as the clock ticks toward a day of reckoning. But the script could be tougher-minded, especially when a love-saves-the-day coda adds sugar to what would have been more powerful left bitter.
