This film embodies a novel written by Claire Huffaker. The film revolves around the life of a young half-breed stuck in difficult circumstances between loyalty to whites and Indians in his lifetime. It seems that he is already facing a tragic fate in front of this problem.
Less an "Elvis film" than a western starring young Presley in a surprisingly well cast role, this lean frontier drama... offers one of his most impressive performances.
